Sing Mandarin from Day One
We believe that babies are linguistic geniuses. They live in the most remarkable window of time to absorb language naturally through love. We decided not to wait.
It is magical.
Have the books? Simply join below — it’s free.
Don’t have the books yet? We’ll get you started. Books 1 & 2 (a $50 value) for just $6.98 to help cover shipping. Available through end of August, 2026, while supplies last. We would love for you to have the books in hand to sing along with.
No prior Mandarin required. No pressure for perfect pronunciation.
Music makes entering a language natural and easy! The magic is: when you sing, you will sound like a native speaker!
We will sing 12 songs from Books 1 & 2 of the award-winning JoJo Chinese Songs for Baby & Me musical book series.
Many parents think bilingual life would be wonderful, but not for them.
“We’ll start when they’re older.”
“Maybe when they can take a language class.”
“Bilingual childhood is for families who already speak the language. Sadly, not for me.”
Many parents want to raise bilingual children, but don’t know where to start. Many have started but are doing this on their own.
JoJo believes something different:
Every baby should be given the opportunity to experience languages from the very beginning.
Every family can begin bilingual life through love, music, and tiny everyday moments.
Language should not be lonely. Before language, there is connection. The power of language lies in doing it together.
Put away your doubts. And join something beautiful, simple, and possible: we invite you to step into language and connection through Mandarin songs.
Your baby is here right now. And right now is the most remarkable language-learning window of their entire life.
Your baby’s window is open right now.
A newborn can hear every sound in every human language on earth. Their brain lights up when they hear the sounds of a new language. Your baby is the most powerful language-learning machine that has ever existed — open, eager, ready, and thirsty to absorb language naturally.
And then, slowly, the brain begins to specialize. The window starts to close. After about age seven, a child can still learn a language, but in a different, more academic way.
Later, Mandarin can become a class. A textbook. Something they study.
Right now, it can simply be a lullaby woven into the moments you are already living.
When you sing with your baby, language enters their heart. Before language, there is connection. You do not need perfect Mandarin. You do not need more activities or more things. You simply need moments together. JoJo brings music and Mandarin into the little moments you are already living.
We are building something together.
The families who join this movement are not just signing up for a sing-together. They are founding members of something larger — a generation of parents who decided to give their children a bilingual beginning. Not later. Not in a classroom. Now. In the bath. At bedtime. Wrapped in a hug.
Every tiny moment you create matters. Every family who joins makes it easier for the next family to begin.
Together, we are showing the world what bilingual beginnings can look like.
People with doubts exist. Let your joy be the answer.
You may have doubts too. You may be seeking guidance, tips, ideas, and simply reassurance.

"Babies learn more and learn earlier than anyone ever thought before...Brains come ready to learn — they are born to learn. But then we have a job: our role is to provide the stimulation that’s critical for brain development. "― Dr. Patricia Kuhl, Co-Director, Institute for Learning & Brain Sciences
Meet Christine (Ms. JoJo)
Christine Yang Barry
Founder · JoJo Learning · Ms. JoJo
As a first-generation Chinese American, I am the only person in my birth family who lives in the United States. My mother, my brother, and my entire extended family all live in China.
My son couldn’t talk to his own grandmother at six years old. At age 15, he flew solo to China to celebrate her 80th birthday. He held his grandmother’s hands as they walked to the farmer’s market. They laughed, chatted, and bargained. Later, in a taxi, he told me quietly: “It is so nice to have a family in China.”
This journey, from a child who locked himself in the bathroom to avoid weekend Chinese school, to a teenager who is at home in the world. That journey taught me everything I believe: bilingualism is not a project, it is a relationship. Before language, there is connection.
My 4-year-old daughter runs free in the park, effortlessly switching among English, Chinese, and Spanish as she plays with children of different backgrounds. The beautiful bridges she builds fill my heart with wonder and joy.
I built JoJo because every family deserves a joyful, gentle way to begin. And I work to build this movement because no family should have to wait.
I hope you’ll join us.

Tiny Mandarin Moments
Real families. Real moments.
Your books were honestly a guiding hand during those early newborn days. They gave me such a simple way to connect with Rose in Mandarin. They’ve become part of Rose’s daily routine. Even my husband, whose Mandarin isn’t very strong, remembers the songs.
— Anna · Mum of a 10-month-old · UK ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My 3-year-old has memorized all the songs in Books 1 and 2 and plays them on her own. Sometimes I’ll hum one of the songs and she will run and get the book that has that song in it.
— Justin · Dad of a 3-year-old and 1-year-old · United States ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’ve been singing the songs to my 7-month-old during morning wake-ups, diaper changes, and bath time. He loves them and always gives the biggest smiles. I shared the book with my mom and she has also enjoyed singing the songs with him.
