JoJo Sing & Learn Creators to Host Bilingual Storytime & Author Panel at Gritters Library

Marietta, GA — The creators of the award-winning JoJo Sing & Learn bilingual musical board book series will host a Mandarin–English storytime at 2:00 PM ET, followed by a 3:00 PM ET author/creator panel on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Gritters Library, a branch of Cobb County Public Library, in Marietta, in honor of National Book Month.
All three principal creators—author/lyricist Christine Yang Barry, illustrator/design director Lukas Miao Zhang, and music producer Felton Pilate—are Marietta residents with deep credentials in early-childhood bilingual learning, visual arts/animation, and music production. Their JoJo Sing & Learn series introduces Mandarin to children as young as newborn through original songs, vivid illustrations, and press-to-play sound buttons, and has earned national recognition, including the 2025 IPPY Gold Medal (Best Interactive Children’s Book) and the 2025 Chinese American Librarians Association (CALA) Best Children’s Non-Fiction Book Award.
The panel will share how the team’s research-driven vision—pairing developmental science with music and art—became a hands-on resource and starter kit for families with children ages 0–7 ready to introduce a second language. Audience Q&A to follow.
