Luka® can read these books!
This adorable series of 6 books is a translation of a French children's bestseller. The stories chronicle the daily adventures of a toddler. With vivid illustrations and up to 4 short lines of text per page, this series is the perfect introduction for babies and very young children to key daily life vocabulary.
Author and illustrator Jeanne Ashbé is a childhood reading specialist and language therapist. She turned her 25 years of experience working with young children into a number of popular picture books including this set which was published in French as Bonjour!.
This series is similar to another French young children's classic, 阿波林的小世界 (Les petites vies d'Apolline). Both are simple, small and charming books about a toddler's daily routine. Although this series has fewer books, each book is more robust (bound with glue rather than staples), and the font is a little larger making it easier for young children to recognize the characters.
The vocabulary in this Hello! series is more expansive than the 小熊宝宝系列 Baby Bear Series, which also focuses on daily routines, but the text is less repetitive than that of the Baby Bear series. As a beginners' reader, this book series is a slight step up from the Baby Bear Series.
